Course Introduction

Community health and social protection systems are central to achieving equitable and resilient societies, especially in contexts facing inequality, poverty, and public health challenges. This program is designed to strengthen women’s leadership in designing, managing, and transforming inclusive health and social protection systems.

The course explores how women leaders can drive improvements in primary healthcare delivery, preventive health systems, and social welfare programs. It emphasizes leadership approaches that prioritize accessibility, dignity, and equity in community-based services.

Participants will examine the linkages between public health systems and broader social protection mechanisms such as cash transfers, insurance schemes, and vulnerability support programs. The program highlights integrated approaches to community wellbeing.

A strong focus is placed on policy development, health systems strengthening, and community engagement strategies. Participants will learn how to lead programs that respond effectively to maternal health, child welfare, and vulnerable population needs.

The course also integrates emerging issues such as pandemic preparedness, digital health systems, climate-related health risks, and inclusive service delivery models. These challenges require adaptive and visionary leadership.

Ultimately, this program equips women leaders with the skills to transform community health and social protection systems into inclusive, resilient, and people-centered frameworks.
