Course Introduction

Advanced Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Contract Negotiation Course is a high-level professional program designed to equip participants with the strategic, legal, financial, and operational skills required to structure and negotiate complex PPP agreements. The course focuses on balancing public sector objectives with private sector efficiency and profitability in infrastructure and service delivery projects.

Public-Private Partnerships have become a critical mechanism for delivering infrastructure and public services worldwide. This course explores how PPP contracts are designed, negotiated, and implemented across sectors such as transport, energy, healthcare, water, and digital infrastructure, ensuring value for money and long-term sustainability.

The program emphasizes advanced negotiation techniques used in PPP transactions, including risk allocation, concession structuring, revenue sharing, performance management, and lifecycle costing. Participants will learn how governments and private investors collaborate to structure bankable and equitable PPP contracts.

A strong focus is placed on legal and financial structuring of PPP agreements, including concession agreements, build-operate-transfer (BOT) models, availability payment structures, and hybrid financing arrangements. Participants will understand how contractual clauses influence project bankability and risk distribution.

The course also integrates emerging global trends such as climate-resilient infrastructure, ESG compliance, blended finance, digital PPP models, and sustainable development frameworks. These factors are increasingly shaping how PPP contracts are negotiated and implemented globally.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently negotiate, structure, and manage PPP contracts that are financially viable, legally robust, and aligned with public interest and sustainable development goals.
