Course Introduction
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and environmental auditing are essential tools for ensuring that development projects are environmentally sustainable and compliant with regulatory frameworks. This course provides advanced knowledge and practical skills in both disciplines.
Participants will explore how environmental impacts are identified, predicted, evaluated, and mitigated across infrastructure, industrial, energy, and natural resource development projects using internationally accepted methodologies.
The course also focuses on environmental auditing systems that ensure organizations comply with environmental laws, standards, and sustainability commitments. Emphasis is placed on ISO 14001 and related compliance frameworks.
Learners will be trained in integrating environmental assessment into project planning cycles, ensuring that sustainability considerations are embedded from conceptualization through implementation and monitoring phases.
A strong focus is placed on field-based assessment techniques, stakeholder engagement, environmental reporting, and risk analysis to support evidence-based environmental decision-making processes.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to conduct advanced EIAs and environmental audits that support sustainable development and regulatory compliance at organizational and national levels.
