Course Introduction

Administrative law forms the backbone of how public institutions exercise authority, implement policy, and ensure accountability in governance systems. This course provides a structured understanding of legal principles that regulate decision-making processes within the public sector and administrative bodies.

In modern governance systems, regulatory compliance has become increasingly complex due to expanded public service delivery, digital transformation, and heightened accountability expectations. This course equips participants with tools to interpret, apply, and enforce administrative legal frameworks effectively.

The program examines the legal limits of administrative discretion, procedural fairness, judicial review, and the responsibilities of public officials in executing statutory mandates. It bridges theoretical foundations with real-world governance challenges.

Participants will explore how administrative law ensures transparency, prevents abuse of power, and protects citizens’ rights in interactions with government institutions. Emphasis is placed on compliance systems and institutional accountability structures.

The course also addresses evolving regulatory environments, including anti-corruption frameworks, public procurement oversight, and sector-based regulatory compliance mechanisms across government institutions.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to assess administrative decisions, strengthen compliance systems, and apply legal principles to improve public sector governance and institutional integrity.
